Establishment of Scholarship Policy

The Scholarship scheme/policy was initiated in the year 1998-99 by the Workers Welfare Fund, Islamabad and was administrated at Federal level. Later in 2000, the scheme was handed over to Provincial Workers Welfare Boards. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (then NWFP) Workers Welfare Board, also introduced the policy across the province for eligible candidates in the same year.

Modes of Scholarship

  • Panel University: In this mode students may take admission in any HEC/HERA/PEC/PMDC recognized Institute/College/University where provisional offer letter issued by the Scholarship Section, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Workers Welfare Board is applicable
  • Reimbursement: In this mode students may take admission in any HEC/HERA/PEC/PMDC recognized Institute/College/University. The students must submit original receipts of paid fee and other such expenses with scholarship form at  Scholarship Office. The scholarship section reimburse the fee which is covered by the rules of the Governing Body, Islamabad to the students along with their stipend

The expenses of students (worker's children) covered/paid as per Workers Welfare Fund policy are as follows:
