The Governing Body Workers Welfare Fund, Islamabad in its 147th meeting has approved the Housing Policy 2020. Later, Federal Government (Cabinet of Pakistan) has approved and notified. Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan on May 19, 2021 inaugurated 2,056 residential flats, constructed for industrial workers at Regi Lalma, Peshawer. The newly constructed housing units will be allotted on ownership basis as per the Housing Allotment Policy, 2020 upon the completion of all codal formalities in a transparent manner and strictly adhering to the eligibility criteria of Industrial establishments, workers and other conditions as per the defined policy.
