Workers Welfare Fund (WWF), a body corporate was established under Workers Welfare Fund Ordinance, 1971. Workers Welfare Board, established under the same ordinance and governed by Provincial Board is not only providing low cost housing facilities but also taking welfare measures in various sectors i.e., education, training, re-skilling, apprenticeship, marriage grants, death grants etc. for workers and their families.At Federal Level, it is managed by tripartite Governing Body, chaired by Federal Secretary and Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development. At Provincial Level, it is managed by Provincial Workers Welfare Boards (tripartite) headed by Secretary Labour Department of the respective provincial government. |
